GNH CENTRES GLOBAL
Many of the global issues are not different in essence from those faced in Bhutan. Today’s worldwide challenges like climate change, scarcity of water and food, economic opportunity and employment, access to education, rising poverty, conflict and have brought people together in our suffering from similar problems, on level scales.
This has led to a large level of interest towards seeking alternative development paradigms and, among them, a great curiosity has arisen for a deeper understanding of GNH across the world. The GNH Centre Bhutan has over the years been seen as a reliable partner in taking GNH beyond Bhutan. We believe that conditions are right to introduce GNH Centres in different parts of the world. The purposes and principles for collaboration are:
To understand, elaborate, nurture and uphold the values based on the philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH) as envisioned by Their Majesties Jigme Singye Wangchuck, The Fourth King of Bhutan and His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck
THE GNH CENTRE THAILAND
The GNH Centre Thailand is the first international centre that was established in October 2016 with the B.Grimm Group of Companies. The partnership was established to promote the values and principles of GNH, and to integrate them into business processes through training programmes for the business and vocational education sectors in Thailand. THE GNH CENTRE SPAIN
The GNH Centre Spain is the second such centre to be created outside Bhutan. It was formalized in July 2017 in partnership with the Impact Hub Madrid and the Honorary Consul of Bhutan to Spain. It functions as non-profit organization offering a unique space of reflection, learning and action. Visit GNH Centre Spain.
THE GNH CENTRE AUSTRALIA
GNHC Australia was launched in March 2022 with the purpose of building a community of people in Australia and beyond, who are passionate about Bhutan and the development philosophy of Gross National Happiness. GNH Australia is excited to create a space for learning more about GNH through a variety of online and in-person programs in partnership with the GNH Centre of Bhutan, and to learn from others who are applying the principles of GNH in their own lives, businesses, communities and governments here in Australia.
