The GNHCB, as a part of a joint effort among civil society organizations in Bhutan, collaborated in the Face Mask Production Project for producing reusable face masks.

The initially produced masks were funded by CSOs in Bhutan and handed over to His Majesty’s Royal Kidu Office on 20th April 2020.

Due to the success of the initiative, both the Ministry of Health and Helvetas are now funding the project. The masks will be handed over to the Ministry of Health, Bhutan. The masks will be distributed to people who are economically disadvantaged and also to those who are at the frontlines. The joint project started in mid March 2020.
