Job Title: Creative Communications Intern
Organisation and Place: GNH Centre Bhutan
Reports to: Programme Communications Officer and Director
Start Date: 1st October, 2021
End Date: 30th April, 2022 (possibility of extension)
Main Duties:
The Communications person will be working for the GNH Educated Farmer Project. He/she will be required to travel between Thimphu and Bumthang to document project activities. The main role and responsibilities of the Creative Communications Intern is to document project activities, support the Programme Communications Officer, assisting with social media content management, producing presentation materials, assisting with website content, and developing media output for different target audiences, including youths, journalists, the project donor, and the community. He/she shall help to build a positive reputation for the GNHCB and promote the Centre’s activities. He/she will also benefit from training covered by the GNHCB.
The internship provides an opportunity for the intern to gain experience working with the GNHCB and provides the intern with the opportunity to learn about the work of the GNHCB. The intern can gain knowledge about the work environment and work ethics as well as skills in planning, management, coordination and administration skills.

Detail Tasks
• Provide technical assistance in planning and developing relevant information and communications products to enhance visibility of GNHCB work both nationally and internationally
• Provide input to all major documents, including strategies, donor reports and other technical documents, to ensure they are well written and clearly communicating the messages of the GNHCB
• Ensure the design and editorial content of the website and social media sites are regularly updated and promoted
• Work closely with designers and website managers
• Ensure proper editing and recording of photography/videos
• Taking responsibility of communications equipment like GoPro, cameras and other equipment
• Interviewing community people for the project documentation
• Maintain a photo archive of all GNHCB events, project progress, and programmes
• Develop the documentary script and storyboard to be used in the film
• Visit the selected project site and interact with the local communities/beneficiaries who have been benefited for any interviews and recordings
• Render support to other division whenever the need arises
• Demonstrate GNH values and principles in daily office tasks
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in English/Social Sciences/Communications/Public Relation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & Dzongkha)
• Strong knowledge and ability to use social media platforms
• Strong design skills, drafting and reporting
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Basic skills in video editing, event management, and coordination would be a plus
• Ability to plan and organize work
• Resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a multicultural team environment
